An update on what I am obsessed with recently

[Podcasts 🎧 ]
• The Dave Chang Show https://open.spotify.com/show/0y4DksD5a6sJvcVR6okX5r
• Recipe Club https://open.spotify.com/show/0Tv3rehjopiBcriATdn9Mm

Both podcasts are hosted with Korean Chefs David Chang and Chris Yang who are both living in the US.

DCS talks about their opinions towards different kinds of food — whether they are overrated or not. They talked about burgers and poutine in the most recent episode. Also, they invited other chefs to share their views on various cultures, like high-end dining experiences in New York, tipping culture in the US….

Chang and Yang will cook a recipe based on the ingredient they choose in Recipe Club. In one episode they have chickpea as the main ingredient. They made chickpea chocolate brownie, chickpea curry….
They will share how they made it like adding or eliminating some ingredients from the recipe and difficulties when they made it
They want to spread the idea that you don’t have to completely follow the recipe in order to make it “perfect”, a recipe is more like an inspiration for your cooking rather than a step to step guide

These 2 podcasts brighten up my boring working weekdays. Time passes so quickly when I am listening lol
Highly recommend to those who are into food culture or just looking for something fun and interesting to listen

[Shows👀]
• Terrace House

• 浪漫醫生金師傅

韓劇大部份醫生題材類都幾高質,呢套都唔例外,第一第二季都好好睇
第二季仲有李聖經😻

• 三流人生

[Others]
• Notion
I wasn’t used to the interface of notion at first, but as I watched more tutorials online and spent more time familiarising it, I found it very useful and not that hard to use

You can customize the interface and do a lot with it too!! Not only note-taking, I use it to track my finances, to write book reviews… Think I finally found an app that can fit all of my needs (except it cant annotate🤥

this is how my home page looks like, I try to keep it minimal
This is my home page, I try to keep it minimal.

Here are 2 tutorials I found useful

Does anyone want to see how I use notion? I can write another post about it:)

• SUP standup paddling
For those who love water sports like me, I encourage you to try SUP.

It was way more interesting compared to kayaking, in my opinion — you can stand, kneel or even sit to paddle. When you are tired or want to take a break from paddling, just fall into the water and push the board (it looks like a surfboard, so not heavy at all!)

If you don’t know what to do for the summer or lacking good shows to watch, please try the above. Tell me how you think about it:)

Also feel free to leave other great suggestions so we can all try them out together!!

P.S. I also read the book ‘The Better Food Solution” by Tracy Beckerman, it is about fitting your diet according to your menstrual cycle. I want to make it a separate post regarding it, as there are many interesting contents.
